our bottles are made of PET or PETE, the most widely recycled plastic in the world. It is a strong and inert material that is extremely lightweight, making it efficient to transport (less carbon emissions during shipping compared to glass). PET can be picked up through most curbside recycling programs.- just make sure to rinse out any remaining product before recycling. the Facewater caps are made of recyclable PP/HDPE. we recommend checking with your local recycling program for specifics.

WHY WE USE PLASTIC INSTEAD OF GLASS BOTTLES

glass has a lower environmental impact than plastic only if reused – which often does not happen. glass is also much heavier, leading to higher emissions from shipping both to producers and consumers. we use PET plastic because it is 100% recyclable, very lightweight, does not break, and produces significantly less carbon emissions during transport.

it definitely was deep cleansing

I haven't had any side effects. I really expected to break out, since toners and astringents tend to pull things out of my skin, but I didn't. I also expected her skin to get really dry (since I smelled the alcohol in this toner) but it didn't. It feels nourishing. It definitely was deep cleansing since even after face wash I still saw dirt on the pad.

I liked that I had no sensitivity to it

I like that it evened out my skin tone a bit, and I liked that I had no sensitivity to it like I do with some other products. My skin was oilier and I got one blemish this week, but it was hormonal and I always get that. The product felt very gentle, with no burning or tingling. It was good at cleansing especially after makeup. It worked pretty well. It's comparable to my witch hazel, just tingles less and dries my skin less.

it works a lot better than the Elf toner

I really like this toner. It cleared up my skin quite a lot. I got way less blemishes than usual. My skin was really soft, and not oily or dry. The toner had a clean feeling. It works a lot better than the ELF toner; my skin is clearer.
